Cancellation Policy

Updated: July 18th 2025

Your booking with Walks is flexible and secure — we know how important flexibility is to planning a stress-free trip. We charge no fees for eligible cancellations.

Standard Cancellation Policy

For most of our tours, cancellations made more than 24 hours prior to the tour start time are eligible for a full refund or may be exchanged for future travel credit

Cancellations received within 24 hours of departure, late arrivals, and no-shows after a tour departs are not eligible for refunds. We want you to have a great experience, and we’ll always do our best to reschedule you or provide options wherever possible. Please note, this is subject to availability and price changes.

Exceptions to the Standard Policy Private Tours & Large Group Bookings (10+ guests)

Private tours and large group bookings are fully refundable up to seven (7) days prior to the tour date.  Cancellations made within seven (7) days are non-refundable.

Tours Including the Colosseum and/or Roman Forum (Rome), St. Peter’s Basilica (Vatican City), and St. Mark’s Basilica (Venice)

Due to local ticketing policies, tours that include entry to the Colosseum, Roman Forum, St. Peter’s Basilica, or St. Mark’s Basilica are refundable up to seven (7) days prior to the tour date.

Within seven (7) days, these tours are non-refundable, regardless of group size or tour type. If you need to cancel within this window and have travel insurance, we’re happy to provide documentation to support your claim.

Non-Refundable Tours (Due to Strict Ticketing Regulations)  The following tours are fully non-refundable, regardless of notice given, due to local ticketing rules and the use of nontransferable tickets

Additional tours may fall under this category depending on the specific sites included. Affected tours will be clearly identified during the booking process.

If you need to cancel one of these tours and have travel insurance, please reach out — we can provide documentation to assist with your claim.

We understand that plans can change unexpectedly, and we will always do our best to support you where possible — even when a refund isn’t available.

Late Arrivals and No-Shows

Due to strict time slots for entry into attractions and the food venues we visit, we recommend arriving 15 minutes before the scheduled start time on your voucher.

Our groups depart precisely on time. If you arrive late or cannot locate the meeting point, refunds are not available. For most tours, it is not possible to join after departure.

Cancellations Due to Travel Issues or Illness

Our Cancellation policy applies to all tardiness or no-shows, including those caused by:

  • Delayed or canceled flights/trains

  • Traffic issues

  • Illness or medical emergencies

We strongly recommend travel insurance and cannot be held responsible if your policy does not cover such events. If delays arise, please contact us as early as possible — the sooner we know, the more we may be able to help.

Promotional Sales

Promo codes apply to new bookings only and cannot be used for existing reservations or applied retroactively.

Amendment Policy

We’re happy to reschedule your tour free of charge, with requests made more than 24 hours in advance (or 7 days in advance for tours including the Colosseum, St Mark's Basilica or St Peter's Basilica.)

Last-minute reschedule requests are subject to availability, price changes, and potential amendment fees, which reflect actual costs such as ticket rebooking. We always aim to keep these fees to a minimum. For any private tour, large group tour or tour listed as nonrefundable, any amendments are unavailable.

Changes to this Policy

From time to time, this policy may be updated. Changes will apply to all tours booked after the update’s effective date.
