The Pompeii guided tour was superb. The tour was conducted by a local guide who was formerly an archeologist. Her explanations were easy to understand, her english was very good and the audio headsets worked well. Caution: The tour description says it goes along the Amalfi coast. In our case it didn't, it stopped short, in Sorrento. Sorrento is a lovely place, though, just not Amalfi. Also, the bus had a lot to be desired - the air conditioning was inconsistent; being a sight seeing tour, visibility was unsatisfactory, especially for those in the rear seat (4 passengers of which I was one) who had no windows at all, and certain row windows were obscured somewhat by curtains in the pillars between windows.

Pompeii was fantastic, we loved it. Cosmino our guide was amazing, he explained everything throughout the drive and trip and was very thorough.
Ilaria, our archaeologist guide inside the ruins was very knowledgeable and had a personal touch. We loved learning from her.
Sorrento was incredibly beautiful and a nice touch to the trip. We bought souvenirs and had a fantastic lunch in town.
We were nervous about the long drive/trip. We made a stop along the way for coffee and bathroom breaks. The bus was a nice, clean, 20-seater bus with air conditioning. It was great. Definitely recommend.

Both guides were excellent. The guide on the bus was very helpful and didn’t get upset when my husband had some difficulty walking. The guide at Pompeii was particularly knowledgeable on the subject was personable and very professional. Overall it was a great experience.

Clear instructions and communication , before and during the trip.
Informative talks throughout the journey.
Safety conscious during walks away from the bus with extra photo op stops.
The driver was cautious and we felt safe at all times while in bus.
The bus was new and very clean. It had spaces for overhead bag storage and seat belts.
Overall a very pleasant experience.

My tour of Pompeii and Sorrento was absolutely unforgettable! Walking through ancient Pompeii felt like stepping back in time—the ruins, mosaics, and stories were mesmerizing. Then, Sorrento’s charm took over: cliffside views, lemon-scented streets, and the bluest sea I’ve ever seen. The food? Fresh, flavorful, and beyond delicious. We had a great time on this tour! The bus was very comfortable to ride in, and the tour of Pompeii with Brunella was so insightful and fascinating. Cosimo was a great guide, and the stop in Sorrento was beautiful. Would definitely book a tour with this company again!

Which town on the Amalfi Coast will I visit?
Most of the year, you'll visit Positano. In the low season (November through late March), most of the businesses in Positano town close, making the town rather uneventful to visit. During this time, we will visit Sorrento instead, where you'll have plenty of options for lunch and shopping.
Do I need to bring my ID for my Pompeii tour?
Yes! The full names of all participants must be provided at the time of booking and match the names on their ID/passport. Name changes are not permitted. All guests (including children) must bring a government-issued ID/passport on the day of their tour. Failure to bring an ID may result in security staff denying entrance to the monument.
Is this tour wheelchair accessible?
No. Unfortunately, due to site restrictions we cannot accommodate wheelchairs on this tour. Guests should be prepared for a moderate level of physical activity, including standing for extended periods and climbing stairs, which may not be suitable for travelers with certain health conditions or mobility limitations.
Can I bring a bag with me into Pompeii?
Small bags and purses are allowed inside Pompeii.
What if the weather is bad (rain, snow, hail, etc.) on the day of my tour?
Our tours run rain or shine so please dress for the elements. We also ask you to please remember hats and sunscreen if you are taking this tour in the summer as it might be very hot.
Is there free time in Positano or Sorrento?
Absolutely. You’ll enjoy up to two hours to wander, eat, shop, or simply soak in the scenery.
Can I use this tour as a transfer to the Amalfi Coast?
Unfortunately our transport vans do not have enough space to accommodate luggage so it's not possible to use this tour as a transfer to towns on the Amalfi Coast from Rome.
Is lunch included?
No. Your guide will give you a few great recommendations for lunch spots and give you plenty of time, but where and what you eat is up to you.
How long is the tour?
The tour lasts approximately 2 hours. It's perfect if you are short on time, but still want to see the best of the Uffizi Gallery.
Is Pompeii accessible to people in wheelchairs?
The streets of Pompeii have never been repaved or smoothed over so much of the city is nearly impossible to navigate for those with mobility impairments. If you use a wheelchair there is a special route for you, so please contact our customer service department for details.
