This was possibly the best and most fun food tour I've taken. Aurilio was our guide and when he introduced himself as a former chef, he asked not to think of him as a guide, but as a friend. He was accommodating, answered everyone's questions, and did a great job facilitating a spirited group. On the tour, he not only taught us about the food, but a little about how to say "grazie" Grazi-a, how to toast properly in Italy, how to choose a place with good gelato, and which restaurants are authentic. The food was very good, and plentiful, the right amount for me, and the wine was also very good and came with detailed explanations of why the wine went with the particular dish and where it came from. The short walks between locations wasn't bad at all. The group I toured with was a great bunch, fun and friendly, sharing stories, I hope you all have as good a time as we did. If you're deciding on which food tour to take, I'd highly recommend this one.
